The Word of Truth

Deep exegesis, explanation and interpretation of the topic hereunder is given prayerfully through the help of the Holy Spirit Who is the custodian of the truth in line with biblical standard.

The scriptures give us a secret to getting blessed in all that we do, and it is simple Meditate continually in the scriptures.

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed” (James 1:25 KJV)

This man shall be blessed in his deed. The message translation says “…he will find delight and affirmation in the action”. The truth is as we meditate continually on scriptures, we are energizing our spirit and building fellowship with the Holy Ghost. As we meditate on scriptures, our spirit man is enlightened, we are building faith, and we can receive instructions from the Holy Spirit. This ultimately leads to us being blessed in every area of our lives.

Psalm 1 also confirms this:

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (vs 1)

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (vs 2)

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (vs 3)

Notice in verse 2, it says he meditates day and night. He meditates continually. Ps. 1 vs 3 tells us the result of the meditation “…whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” same as what James 1:25 tells us “…this man shall be blessed in his deed”.

Joshua 1:8 also testifies to this:

“This book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Notice here also “…meditate therein day and night” and notice also the reward “…thou shalt have good success”.

Brethren, I want to urge us to continue in our meditation this new year. Meditate upon the scriptures in the day, meditate in the night and God will make your way prosperous.

I call you Blessed
