WORD OF ALETHEIA

The Word of Truth

Teachings

Deep exegesis, explanation and interpretation of the topic hereunder is given prayerfully through the help of the Holy Spirit Who is the custodian of the truth in line with biblical standard.

“…Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels…(2 Kings 4:4)”

Our Covenant fathers seemed to understand some ancient paths and secrets which granted them access to operate in the supernatural without stress. One of such mysteries is the secret of multiplication. It is important to note that the bible is basically a book of principles, if u know the right keys that opens a door and you operate them accordingly, no matter who you are, the doors will open to your instruction.

So if you operate the right keys in any area of your life say marriage, finances, career, ministry then success is guaranteed. And that is why a Pagan may have a peaceful marriage because he knows how to handle marriage and a spirit-filled Christian may not have one. Same also applies in business. What makes the difference is Wisdom.

“The labour of fools wearies them, for they do not know how to get into the city! (Ecc. 10:15) ”

Without a good knowledge of the keys and using them appropriately one may pray and pray and even fast for 100 years and there won’t be any result. Am not in any way speaking less of praying and fasting, but am putting emphasis on the place of wisdom. For-example, without the knowledge of kingdom prosperity one may pray and fast and still remain poor.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding (proverbs 4:7)”

The book of 2nd kings 4: 1 -7 talks about a particular woman whose husband was a prophet yet died a poor man having debt (prosperity answers to knowledge not ministerial office). After his death, his creditors came wanting to take his two sons to be slave. At this, the wife of the late prophet cried to Elisha for help. It’s interesting the way Elisha answered, and said “what do you have?” Isn’t it interesting that God finds it easy to multiply what we have, than we having nothing? Even mathematics teaches us that zero (nothing) multiplied any number in the world is zero (nothing).

Remember at the feeding of the 5000 people (John 6: 1 -14), the disciples told Jesus, we have 5 loaves and 2 fishes. Also in Matthew 15:34, Jesus asked

“How many loaves do you have? And they said “seven loaves and a few fishes”.

They had something. So they qualified for multiplication. Moses had a rod, he parted the red sea, the woman in 2nd kings 4:1 – 7 had a jar of oil, she also qualified for multiplication, the woman in (Judges 9:50 – 57) also used her effort to cast a millstone, and God multiplied her effort to save a whole town, now let me ask what do you have? Or what are you doing?

Many people are not doing anything, yet they cry that God should bless them and I ask what should God bless? Imagine if God opens all the windows of heaven and it were to rain heavily, if you don’t have anything to collect water even if it is a small bucket, you still may never have water, yet there was rain.

Am not advocating for hard-work over God’s grace but am saying at least start doing something. Stop sitting down and complaining. Find something doing.

Now let’s continue with our story, then Elisha told her “go borrow vessels from everywhere from all your neighbours-empty vessels, do not gather a few (2 kings 4:3)”. You will agree with me that the number of vessels this woman will borrow will depend on how much she believed Elisha to be Gods prophet. If she believed God in Elisha a little she might just have borrowed say may be 3 or 4 to just give it a try. But if she seriously believed Elisha to be Gods mouth-piece then she could borrow as much as 25 to 30. Many people have not succeeded in life because they have refused to believe the prophet God has placed over them.

“And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved   (Hosea 12:13)”

As much as one has to be very careful of fake prophets who profess to agents of light and are actually otherwise one still needs to be careful not to neglect God sent servants who have come to give one light. Arrogance and disobedience kills, don’t engage in it.

Then Elisha gave the woman the instruction “then pour it into all these vessels”. Now let’s hold that there and consider 2nd kings 4:42 – 44.

“vs 42. And there came a man from Baal – shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat”.

“vs. 43 but his servant said, ‘What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?’ He said again, Give it to the people that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: ‘They shall eat and have some left-over’”.

“vs. 44 so he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord”.

Notice the instruction Elisha gave in vs. 42 “Give unto the people that they may eat”.This same instruction is similar to the instruction to the woman “then pour it into all these vessels”. Now let’s look at our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in John 6:1 -14.

“vs. 11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as they would”

Notice Jesus “distributed to the disciples” and “the disciples (distributed) to them that were set down”. This was the same instruction in the account of Matt. 15:32 – 39. From this three different stories we see just one trend in the way this heroes of faith operated the mystery of multiplication. What they did was to give out (pour, set before, distributed) the little they had and in a way nobody could explain the things they gave out multiplied as they desired.

The Mystery of multiplication is about giving. Releasing that thing that seems not enough, is bringing it before the almighty for multiplication.

“He that gives unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse (Prov. 28:27)”

“Cast your bread upon the waters: for you shall find it after many days (Ecc 11:1)”

It is important to note that this mystery doesn’t just work for finances. This mystery operates in all areas of life. As a minister of the gospel, know that the more you preach (let out) the revelations God give you, the more the revelations are multiplied to you. As a business-man the more ideas you get and you share, the more you open yourself to receive more.

Many times our eyes are on the big, whilst we do not know that the pathway to the big, is the small. If you ever desire that God should use you on a large-scale know that, it is being faithful in the little assignments that brings the big ones. The secret to praying one hour, is starting to pray 10 minutes. Whatever area you desire multiplication, just spend that little you have, and God will multiply it.

Many people have refused to increase because they are stingy. They have continued to hoard God resources in their life, and that’s why they don’t have more. In all aspects of life, the principle is let go that little and you see God multiply it. Learn to start sharing today, and see God’s abundant grace multiplying your little efforts in all areas.
