This Same Jesus…
Everyone says “Evolve or Die”, “make sure to stay at the top of the game”, “Create your own niche”, “Be Unique”, “Stand-Out”, while I believe all these are true, we must be careful to know in which context this advice holds true.
In our pursuit of success in our careers I believe this is true. I always counsel the same. Read books, be unique, Create a special value, do something new and I always give the example of some of the former prominent chat applications like 2go, BBM. Those were the most famous messaging famous some years ago, but now no one knows where they are anymore. And that’s why you always notice your phone applications updating themselves, the programmers keep adding new features to them so they still relevant and keep being useful to their customers.
But, in spiritual things, there’s no new teaching. The teaching is same. The message doesn’t change. The message was Jesus, it is at present Jesus and in years to come, it will be Jesus. Don’t try to sound New, trying to sound New would lead you to error.
Definitely in time, we would grow, increase in knowledge of scriptures, have deeper insight into the scriptures. We would be able to explain things simpler and more clearly because of access into deeper revelation but the message stays same JESUS.
Paul speaking to Timothy said:
And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2
See the trend. Paul taught Timothy some things, EXACTLY this same things Timothy was to teach some Faithful Men, this faithful men are then to teach this SAME things to OTHERS (me and you).
It is Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever. And did you just say it’s going to be boring? No. He is new Every morning but still the same.
It’s the same Gospel, the Same Spirit, the same Jesus.
